Family Photography Sessions

Family portrait sessions can be held in my photography studio, located on Main Street in Girard, PA, or outdoors at one of the many beautiful locations around Erie, PA. The best thing you can bring to your shoot is a great attitude! Enjoy this special time with your family, relax, and have fun!

When I'm photographing a family session, I strive to really capture the spirit of your family. I try to make my family shoots as stress-free and as fun as possible! For families with young children, we'll play games, sing songs, and I'll probably make lots of silly noises! For families with older kids, I love using prompts to spark a genuine interaction between loved ones. My goal is to capture your family at their best and enjoying your time together.

Every client will receive a session questionnaire and prep guide. These are vital for you and me! Your answers on your questionnaire will help me to tailor your family's session to you. The prep guide will let you know exactly what to expect from your session and how to best prepare.

Styling your family can be tough! I offer access to my complimentary client closet with my "Moment" and "Story" packages. I'm always happy to help answer any clothing questions!

Once your session is complete you'll receive a link to your proofing gallery. This is where you'll find the very best images from your session. You'll be able to log in and choose your favorite images. From there I'll fully edit your favorite images for you to download and keep. You know your family best; and I've found, without fail, that families always choose at least one or two images that surprise me! I always love seeing which images my clients have chosen!

Keep it fun!

I strive to keep photo shoots as fun and light-hearted as possible. Being a former Kindergarten teacher turned child photographer in Erie, I love interacting with kids! I've found that the more fun they have, the better your images will be! We'll listen to music, play games, make silly noises, or they can just settle in for a snuggle with you.

Don't Push

Let's face it, everyone needs a break sometimes! If your kiddo is getting a little overwhelmed, it's OK if they need to take a moment for themselves! Little ones especially will need a breather occasionally. My session prep guides will help you to get your children ready, and better yet, excited for our shoot!

Let them be themselves

My goal is to allow your child's personality to shine through in your images. I love capturing a goofball in the middle of a funny face, or a shy smile from a little one hiding behind mom's leg. When you fill out your session questionnaire, it gives me a lot of insight as to who your child is and will help me customize your session. By allowing your children to be themselves, we'll capture some wonderful moments!
