Newborn sessions can be held in my Erie, PA studio, in the comfort of your own home, or your hospital recovery room. I am a safety certified, fully licensed, and insured newborn photographer in northwest Pennsylvania. Whether you're looking for a Fresh 48 in one of our local hospitals, a lifestyle session in your own home, or a posed studio session, I provide everything necessary for beautiful, customized newborn portraits that you'll cherish forever.
The best time for a newborn photography session is those first few weeks of life. So the earlier you schedule your shoot, the better! I recommend contacting me in your second trimester to ensure availability.
I pencil in newborn sessions for about a week after your due date, keeping in mind that our session date is flexible and may change depending upon when baby decides to arrive! I only take on a few newborn clients per month in order to accommodate early/late arrivals.
After booking a session, every client receives a questionnaire and prep guide. Your answers on the questionnaire help me to tailor each newborn session to each specific family, so no two sessions are exactly alike. Creating beautiful sets for each family is something that I'm truly passionate about and take great pride in! My prep guide also ensures that you and your family know exactly what to expect the day of our session.
In the weeks leading up to your session we'll discuss colors, ideas, props, and poses that you want to include in your baby's shoot. The day before our shoot, I'll send you a reminder checklist so that you feel fully prepared.
The day of your shoot, everything will be prepped and ready to go so that we can make the most out of your baby's sweet, sleepy moments!
Studio Newborn Session
I typically like to photograph newborns when they are between 7-14 days old. Studio newborn sessions consist of beanbag posing, utilizing props with wraps, and family photographs. They are customizable and specific to each family. I have a variety of props, wraps, headbands, etc. from which you can choose. I look forward to building a beautiful session for your sweet little one!

Whether you deliver at St. Vincent or Magee-Womens UPMC Hamot, this session takes place in the hospital usually within the first two days of having your baby. It focuses on capturing all of their tiny details as well as the love that surrounds them. These sessions are mostly unposed and meant to focus on the quiet moments between parents and baby.

Safety is always the number one priority when it comes to being a baby and child photographer. In addition to raising 3 babies of my own, I've completed multiple safety courses and in-person newborn educational training workshops. I will never put your baby in a pose that they are uncomfortable with. Your precious little one is in safe hands when you schedule a newborn shoot with me.
